I was lucky enough to visit Taste the Trucks this year, which was the inaugural event for Calgary’s food trucks.
The event was on a Thursday from 11 to 3 p.m. We arrived at about 1:00, hoping to avoid the lunch rush. There were crazy lines around almost every cart.
JoJo’s BBQ didn’t actually have their own truck that day, they were sharing with Pimento’s pizza truck. I suspect that’s why they had a reasonable line with just a few customers. I ordered the smoked pulled pork sandwich. I think this is a smaller version of their regular sandwich:
The pork was rather tasty and the bun was fresh, but I found myself wanting way more BBQ sauce. However, it hit the spot and was a nice start to the day. I hope to return one day to the regular food truck to sample the full menu.
