We were at the Calgary Farmers Market one afternoon looking for BC Rainier cherries. I’m not a big fan of cherries, but these are so sweet, they’re like eating mini nectarines!
I had also heard good things about this taco place, and was wanting to try a few of their tacos. I guess it was late in the day, because it seemed they had sold out of pretty much everything except for the pulled pork taco!
So that’s what we got. The pulled pork taco was very flavourful and spicy, with a nice fresh kick from the cilantro. It was a bit pricey for one taco, but it’s hard to find good Mexican food in Calgary. After having some amazing tacos in the U.S., you really crave for it sometimes. This was a great little tease that will bring us back one day to try the rest of their menu!
After checking out their website, I found out that they also have a restaurant on 17th Avenue called Los Chilitos Taco and Tequila House. But this is a good place to try if you just want to sample something from their menu without the whole restaurant experience.
